Hoje, dia 9 de junho de 2009, está sendo lançado o novo disco do Sonic Youth, "The Eternal".
E que disco. O 16º albúm do grupo é o mais rocker desde Goo, de 1990, e isso já dá pra notar logo na primeira musica, "Sacred Trickster", com Kim Gordon nos vocais, uma canção punk de 2 minutos que REALMENTE É UMA CANÇÃO, nada de vinhetas experimentais ou coisas do tipo. E ao longo do disco, esse lado mais roqueiro da banda é o que fica em evidência, convivendo saudavelmente com partes instrumentais mais longas, como na segunda faixa, "Anti-Orgasm". "Antenna" é uma balada com uma melodia irresistivel e longos devaneios instrumentais, e logo após ela, começa "What We Know", com um riff FODA de baixo, uma canção com uma estrutura bem convencional, lembrando bastante os rocks de Goo.
Enfim, foda-se, eu não vo comentar cada música dessa porra. Outra hora eu continuo. Ou não.
